A FAMILY RUN BUSINESS
American Building Specialties was established in 1981 by J. Raoul Morin Sr. who owned a toilet accessory rep company. He saw a growing need to provide installation services to both Contractors and Small Businesses.

In 1984, Raoul's daughter M. Gayle Conlon joined the company and ever since then, it has been a family affair with four generations now having been employed. Gayle's own children, along with her sister and niece, all work in the company in various fields. Gayle took over the company so her father could retire in 1997.

At American Building Specialties, we believe in strong customer relationships and find that to be the best base for good construction.

American Building Specialties can work with you from the very beginning budgeting stages to make sure you get the right products for your project.

Our estimates come with separate lines for all your items, making it easy to see exactly what was included. We make sure from the very beginning you are meeting ADA code by giving you notes on your estimate, alerting you to potential issues.

We sell all the top names in Division 10 to make sure you get exactly the products specified.
CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT
American Building Specialties can help make your project go smooth. We consider ourselves part of your team and do our best to make your project as easy as can be.

We have a quick turn around time for submittals which helps quickly move the project along, including detailed professional shop drawings. We also offer physical color samples if your client needs to see them up close.
INSTALLATION
American Building Specialties installation crew has combined over 50 years of experience. Although we sell nationwide, our installation services are limited to DC, MD, and VA. In VA, we service as far west as Harrisonburg, as far south as Richmond, and all of Northern Virginia.

Even if we don't have an installer in your area, we have experts to help you if you decide to install your own project and have a problem.
